Fantastic in every way.

At first I did not believe the complaints about the game being rigged against the user, thinking that this was just a losers lament. After playing it for some time, however, I am convinced that the allegation is true. The computer differentiates among the skill levels by simply generating better rolls for itself as the skill level increases. I am going to look for another app. Any recommendations anyone?

The computer rolls itself DOUBLES all of the time. Excessively. I paid 7.99 for this?!?!? Money back please!

The computer wins first roll 4 out of 5 times, and gets miraculous rolls much more than chance would allow. Sure wish I had a pair of dice like that! Every roll that the computer makes is miraculous... one space to land in my home board and the computer makes it EVERY TIME! It takes me five tries with three spaces on the computers side open. Sure wish I had a pair of those dice!

I held off ripping this game because I wanted to see for myself if all the "rigged" talk was accurate. Some of the roll combinations are uncanny and some the timing of the computer rolls are even more suspicious... I dont believe this to be an honest game.

Great look and feel with some nice features that make this an excellent app for those learning the game. The expert level becomes a drag over time without random rolls.

The game cheats to increase difficulty. It actually has a statistic for skill at dice rolls. However, after about the 20th time that you cant get on in less than ten rolls when there are 2 or 3 slots open, it becomes obvious.

This game is great in every aspect except the blatantly absurd cheating by the computer on the expert level. In fact, after the 4 or 5 years of playing this game, what brings me back time and again is how well it is put together. Conversely, the maddening level of cheating done by the computer on expert is unbearable to the point where I quit playing. Why cant this app maker concede the expert mode is rigged and rename that level something like handicapped or computer favored so those that choose to can try a different challenge? It was mentored in another review and I agree that the expert level will make you a worse player because of the way you have to change your gameplay.

I have tried to write a review five times and it keeps rejecting my nickname. Maybe the reviews are rigged as well as the dice rolls. Great game, but not random at all. Oh well ......

Ignore the reviews by sad angry chumps who cant beat the computer. These same losers accuse other human players of also cheating when they get destroyed. This is greatest mobile backgammon app of the land. Period.

Best Backgammon game I have found but the computer cheats like mad despite what the developer claims. It is a shame that the programmer is not a better back gammon player as if he was the computer would not have to cheat so much.

The rolls are absurd. The "random" number generator must have been written by a high school student who was trying to cheat his friends. I know that RNGs sometimes get stuck, but a paid application should be engineered more professionally. Four double sixes in a row is not random and no fun for either player.

I bought this game because I looked for a Backgammon game where the rolls werent rigged and in the search, I read that this game has random rolls. I dont believe they are random. Save your money and get a free game.

Kudos for their professional willingness to disclose their algorithms. A topnotch game.

This is an exceptional implementation. There is no comparison with the free backgammon apps. Ignore the doubters and play a difficult, competitive game.

I play this game a lot, so I feel bad to give it a one-star rating. The gameplay is great. But at the expert level, it feels deeply rigged and not at all, especially with regard to the computers rolls off the bar, as well as some frequent and miraculously lucky rolls throughout each match. Ive read some responses from the game developer where hes defending the app, but his rationale seems to ring hollow with me. The moment I find another game that plays as smoothly, Im going to switch.

Ive been using NJ Backgammon for more than 5 years and it is, hands down, one of the best backgammon apps I have ever played. The user interface is very well designed, and has plenty of ways to customize the experience. The AI is very good. While it may seem that it cheats, Ive played enough to know it to be completely fair.

I like the speed of the play, but I hate the unbelievable luck the computer has with its rolls. According to the documentation the rolls are totally random, but I dont believe it.
