Love everything about this app except I cant stop playing!

i love this app. the computer plays well and you can customize all kinds of features.

Has been updated for the iPad Pro and is stronger than ever! Five stars.

The world is full of people who have been playing BG for years without learning the intricate strategies. Since the 1990s, computer BG has advanced considerably and these programs learn by playing billions of games against themselves. You cant beat them by making the obvious moves without looking to alternates that just might be slightly better. Some of the PC programs allow you to record your games and track how much match equity you lose each turn. This program does not cheat; computers are just that good. Play on an easier level to start, and watch for your mistakes. You will get better if you work at it instead of quitting when you get behind. Beyond the "it cheats" whelps from people uninterested in strategy, the product is excellent: good looking screens, nice features. Bravo!

Does not allow many wins at hard level due to computer dice rolls, but otherwise is a very good test.

I find that despite claims of Radom dice, there is a pattern to certain situations that suggests otherwise. I scanned upcoming dice rolls looking for double sixes. More turned up than skated. I like being beat by computers. When something seems unfair it triggers addictive behaviour. I instinctively get rid of such games.

I held off on making the leap to nj due to the price. Then the app i used for online play became really hard to get a good match quickly. I tried every other free or cheap app out there and just got nowhere. Then when i got this one i just felt dumb for making it a last resort, and wished it had been a first choice. Every feature jumps out at me as being worth the price and then some. Better late than never.

Waiting for someone to write a fair game. Ridiculous dice.

The game is fun but it must cheat. The probability of the computer getting exactly the roll it needs, time and time again, far exceeds what fair odds would suggest. Still fun but I got awfully frustrated when miracle after miracle gets rolled by the computer.

This version allows a fast paced game. Very frustrating when I get beaten and feel the game is rigged. The very next game the dice roll in my favor.

Its a great program. Ive been getting back into Backgammon after a long hiatus and this app has really helped.

The computer cheats very often at all levels. Not fun at all. A real scam. They say it doesnt cheat but they are lyers. They obviously built an algorythm that favors drasticaly the computer.

The rolls for computer are not random as the exact roll needed by it comes way more than probability allows. That being said its still tons of fun! Very addictive.

I love backgammon and have been playing for a few years now. It can be hard to find people to play at times and find people with same or greater skill to challenge myself, so I play online or against bots. A problem I have with other apps is that as I play my skill increases the bots do not, so with other apps I know when the bots have made critical errors and I can the exploit it. This app gives you a good incremental challenge. Even the "easiest" posed a challenge when I first starry using this app. The hint button gives some good tips and you can use this as training "why is this a better move?" Great app and worth the $

I have played 1000s of games against this app and have gradually improved my game to the point that I beat my human opponents 75% of the time. Cheating? It certainly feels like it sometimes but if you play enough it feels like you are the one cheating even though that is impossible. Great app to hone your game!

I am changing my review to 5 stars. The more I play the better I get. For those who think this game "cheats", keep playing and youll see that it doesnt. Go back over your games and analyze them to see where you could have made better choices with your dice. You will improve your game and win more often.
